About the Staff at Meridian Surveying LLC

Meet the staff of family and locally owned Meridian Surveying LLC. The staff includes four licensed professional surveyors in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. The firm was established in 2006 out of a desire to provide quality land surveying services. You can count on prompt, reliable and cost-effective work when you contact us for the job.

Craig A. Keach 

PLS, Business Owner

Craig Keach is the founder and president of Meridian Surveying, LLC. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in geography. 

Craig is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Wisconsin and Illinois. With 20 years of experience, Craig has worked on a variety of projects for both the private and public sector. He has been directly involved with surveying projects for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, various counties in Wisconsin, the telecommunication industry, and commercial and residential developers.

Steven C. De Jong 

PLS, CFedS, Business Owner

Mr. De Jong attained an Associate Degree in natural resources from Fox Valley Technical College and has been a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in Wisconsin since 2006. 

Steve has also completed the Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS) program through the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and received a certification on the federal level. 

Having been in the surveying industry since 1998, he has ascertained expertise in all areas of the profession, including boundary surveying, PLSS remonumentation and telecommunication sites and has a strong background in construction services. 

He previously worked extensively in the private and public sectors.

Bradley A. Buechel

PLS, Project Manager

Mr. Buechel joined Meridian Surveying LLC in 2014. He holds an Associate Degree in civil engineering from Moraine Park Technical College. 

Brad is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Wisconsin since 2002. He holds the county surveyor position for Calumet County (an appointed position). With over 20 years of experience, Brad has worked on a variety of projects. His expertise includes boundary surveying, PLSS remonumentation and telecommunication sites.

Brett J. Becker

PLS

Mr. Becker joined Meridian Surveying LLC in 2014. He is a 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Aspects of Conservation. 

Brett is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Wisconsin with 14 years of experience. Brett’s expertise includes drafting maps and field-data collection for minor subdivisions and telecommunications tower sites.
